Datacros III

Prevent and Detect – Training Session

PREVENT AND DETECT:

How to early-detect organised crime infiltration, corruption and fraud: red-flags and best practices

14 November 2025

10.30 – 16.30 CET

Online Webinar

Public procurement, local authorisations, and service contracts are prime targets for organised crime, channeling substantial financial flows and offering long-term influence over key sectors of the legal economy. Criminal networks exploit administrative bottlenecks and limited oversight capacity to divert resources through sophisticated schemes. Strengthening the capacity of local public bodies to detect anomalies early – by applying ownership tracing, robust due diligence protocols and data-driven monitoring systems – is essential to prevent infiltration and corruption.

The first DATACROS III workshop will address:

  • Risk analysis and the use of open data.
  • Whistleblowing systems and safeguards in public procurement.
  • Best practices in due diligence and innovative tools
  • Social re-use of confiscated goods.

A one-day training aimed at city councils, regional governments, contracting authorities, and other EU public bodies engaged in procurement and compliance. Organised by RE-ACT within the framework of the EU-funded DATACROS III project, with the support of project coordinator Transcrime.
